BIOGRAPHY

I am a composer and sound designer based out of Los Angeles, CA.

My diverse upbringing in the arts had me performing on saxophone in jazz bands, percussion in orchestras, and singing in choirs. For three summers, I toured the country on tuba with Phantom Regiment as part of Drum Corps International, where in 2016, we performed the 1812 Overture alongside the Boston Pops. Over the past eight years, I have owned and operated Pageantry Sound, where I have done sound design and arranging for over fifty marching band shows, several of which have won state and national championships.

While simultaneously involved in the marching arts, I had my hands deep in songwriting and music production. Influenced by Seattle bands from the late 2000s, I would write and record original songs, record my friends’ bands, and helped engineer live shows for acts such as Lucy Hale from “Pretty Little Liars.” Because of my skills in both music production and composition, it was a natural progression to go into media music.

Since 2016, I have scored over twenty media projects including short films, video games, and advertisements. In 2018, the short “A Portrait of Love Lost” premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, and late last year, I finished a hybrid score for the horror short “Red,” which premiered at the Mystic Film Festival. In addition to my own scores, I have been developing tech workflows for Justin Melland (Conversations with a Killer), Brian Carr (Family Guy), Jason Nesmith (The Ellen DeGeneres Show), and I have been a MIDI mockup artist and mixing engineer for Emmy Award winner Adam Schoenberg (Graceland).

I am an expert in Logic, Vienna Ensemble Pro, Finale, and Touch OSC. I am proficient in ProTools, Cubase, Digital Performer, Wwise, and Sibelius. In 2018, I participated in Conrad Pope’s orchestration workshop in Austria. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Columbia College Chicago. In May 2021, I graduated with my MFA in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia.

My unbridled optimism and love of people fuels my creativity. I constantly seek unpaved paths, new ways to approach old ideas, and meaningful collaborations with those who challenge me!
